I have to be honest when I say that I was a little bit scared and worried about undertaking this course. However, after watching the youtube clips from this module I realise that I already use quite a few of these internet tools. I am excited about using them with my class as learning tools rather than as social tools as I have been doing till now. I had completely forgotten about Teacher Tube, it's a great tool to use as reference.
It was interesting to see how the internet has evolved from 'Web 1.0' to now. We take these things for granted as I guess we have not been involved in the actual development or evolution of it all (on the technical side obviously). However as Nick Peachy says we are all part of the development of the content of what is out there on the internet. It is a shared web of information.
Setting up my iGoogle page was fun as it is about me and those things I really like. Google Aps are fantastic. We, in the 1/2 level use Google Docs to plan our weekly activities. We can all access these documents from home and school and are free to edit and add things that are important to our level. It will be interesting to see how we can use Google Docs with the children effectively. Can't wait!!!
It is both exciting to see how much education has changed thanks to technology and to think how much it will continue to change... One can only imagine!!!
